Consulting Americans on Freedom

Who this nation once had...

Andrew Jackson, seventh president of the United States, once spoke these mighty words to a bunch of banksters up to the same dirty deeds they are up to in 2009:

“Gentlemen, I have had men watching you for a long time, and I am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter, I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. I intend to rout you out, and by the eternal God, I will rout you out.”

(He did too! The only president to pay off the national debt and he also nullified the Central Bank.)

And, what we have today...

"You see, the flow of credit is the lifeblood of our economy. The ability to get a loan is how you finance the purchase of everything from a home to a car to a college education; how stores stock their shelves, farms buy equipment, and businesses make payroll."

Barack Obama

"Under our proposal, the federal government would put up to $700 billion taxpayer dollars on the line to purchase troubled assets that are clogging the financial system."

George Bush

Are you serious?? Maybe I'm just one of those simple Americans "clinging to their guns and religion" but I thought hard work and sacrifice were the lifeblood of the economy. No, I'm not talking about the kind of "work" where one bundles up someone else's debts and ships them off to foreigners and calls it a day like they do on "The Street". I'm talking about the kind where you get dirty and tired and actually produce some sort of value added tangible good like we do in manufacturing, you know, that sector of the economy this country has outsourced to China in the name of "Free Trade". Maybe also if our wages were not being stolen from us by confiscation through inflation, burdonsome taxes, and wild speculators bidding up the price of everything to high heaven, people would not need the banker's credit. As for you Mr. Bush, the only thing "clogging" the financial system is the rapidly depreciating paper dollar, (can't fool me with those currency exchange rates, I know they are all sinking in tandem), massive inflation and resultant deflations,  a corrupt and unregulated wall street gone wild, and a subservient government who does whatever the ungodly rich require it to do. Furthermore, some among us also know the Dow Jones "Industrials" which should more properly be called "The Dow Jones Financials"(for if it was based on manufacturing activity instead of speculation, leveraged buyouts,  and debt sales, it would be at about 0 right now) is merely a measure of inflation and deflation. Stop showcasing that irrelevant number in the media!  So there.

Greetings, this page is called "Financial Talk" because primarily I'll be writing about monetary history, monetary discipline, the banks, the corporations, debt, etc. and how all these things affect our lives here in the U.S.A (and the world). I am not some economic professor PHD or "Investment Professional". You know, the kind that tell you what to invest in order so that they can make a sale. I am self educated, through years of research, analysis, and observation. I also possess a biblically based worldwiew, and believe that "Money is the root cause of all kinds of evil".  If you begin to do some research yourself, you will see some of the shady undertakings happening in the financial world. In fact, dont just take my word for anything I write about (which may be off primary subject from time to time) Do the research yourself. YOU ARE ENDOWED WITH A MIND THAT CAN BE USED FOR CRITICAL THINKING!! USE IT!! DONT BE ONE OF THOSE FOLKS WHO HAVE LOADS OF DIPLOMAS ON THEIR WALLS BUT STILL DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!!  It is too often the highly educated have forgotten how to the think critically, instead absorbing loads of pre-packaged drivel like mindless automatons. This also is addressed to you "intellectuals", who focus on perfunctory things like spelling and grammar but miss the big picture entirely!! Fools! you are anethema! Think about it, those highly educated MBA's that fractured the financial system. They use big words but so many have tiny tiny minds....

And Life Goes On..

by Thyssen Moskal

Hello Again. I realize I have not written to you in some time. As you may or may not be aware, some people have to deal with a thing called LIFE and cannot be constantly updating their webpages and dallying around with other assorted nonsense every other day. Some of us toil in endless fashion in your factories and shops building pointless things for clueless people, which is the foundation of your precious capitalism. Those of us who must watch the clock every day, and are hyper aware of the old adage Time is Money. I have no time to send e-mails and make telephone calls during the workday.  I must not exit the building or leave my workstation. In fact, I would probably be dismissed for such activity. If I take a vacation day, I am loaded up with work beforehand in triplicate in order to inform me that I am wasting time. When I return, I must make up for in work what I have costed.. Therefore I do not take much vacation time. When I come home, I must attend to the  many, many daily chores which cannot be avoided. At the very basis of capitalism, is manufacturing activity. In other words, the labor which generates wealth and profits for a nation. We must watch our time cards to make sure we are not wasting any precious time. If we seem in a hurry, it's because we are. Everyone else is a recipient of the benefits of such a system. The barber who cuts the hair of those who create and sell things for export and consumption. The cooks who make the food of those who labor and sell things for export and consumption. The dentist or doctor who bills and bills the life out of those who labor and build for export and consumption. The government (federal, state and local) who takes 30% of my paycheck, charges me to live in my own house, charges a sales tax to buy anything else, and generally gives all this money to government employees who make thrice what I make, and then to top this off gives it to people who are sitting at home collecting welfare blasting their stereo and getting high at 3 AM while I am trying to sleep so I can get up and go to work and give all the money I generate to the government so that the government can hand it out to these "poor" people in order so that they can get high. I know you all don't do this, but I have seen too much of it living in apartment buildings. And to answer the question I have read from your minds, NO I will not borrow 50000 dollars for school, which will ultimately turn into 100000 dollars after interest to support the bankers is calculated, while I am trying to work 50 hours a week, while I am trying to take care of a house, my car and those that are close to me, just to get a $10 job (if I am lucky) with a title like "support specialist" (isnt it always some kind of "specialist"?) and be a debt slave for the rest of my life. Do you see why I find no point in working? Do you understand my frustration? Here is the real special part. The part that burns me. The reason why the entire economic system needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Work has picked up quite a bit. But let's not hire any of the millions of unemployed to share the burden. Let's instead dump all this work on the few who are employed and make them work faster and harder and longer because it cheaper for the employer. Whoopppeee!!! I get to generate even more money to be taken out of my paycheck to give to the government!!! What an incentive to work harder!! I get to run in place, while Uncle Sam says. "Thank you, we appreciate all your hard work, so we are gonna take an even bigger chunk then usual, and hand it to these "poor" folks who aren't working over here, because they really need to get high and blast some rap music to keep themselves entertained, because if we don't keep them high and entertain them, they might get rowdy and start smashing some store fronts and rioting and stuff." Don't even get me started on the much more useless and intensely more destructive class in our society, the paper pushers on wall street. No, I won't even capitalize it. They are not worthy. In the meantime, many personal, family, and related matters can occur in a person's life. No matter, we are supposed to brush all that aside and pretend it's not happening in order so that we can "give it all" in the workplace and generate some profits for the bosses. Madness. This whole world is madness. And really, I just wrote this to say I updated my page. Yay!! its updated! And I only lost 1 precious hour!! (As I look at my watch) Now, go find something productive to do. Cheerio!

You fools, What have you done?

by Thyssen Moskal

Today is not a happy day. I have been reading the news with great apprehension these last few days, and I cannot stay silent about it. I have touched on this subject before in earlier articles. PLEASE, YOU IDIOT "CHRISTIAN" MILITIA GROUPS, STOP SOILING THE HOLY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST BY PLOTTING TO BLOW UP BUILDINGS AND KILL PEOPLE!!! YOU ARE TARNISHING NOT ONLY JESUS CHRIST, BUT RUINING THE REPUTATIONS OF LAW ABIDING REAL CHRISTIANS ACROSS THIS NATION. Now because of you "hutaree" and like-minded ilk, we peaceful people are branded terrorists and criminals. What the hell exactly is a "christian" militia group? Where in the Bible does it say you should form a private army and slay law enforcement officers? I must have missed that verse, but I do recall Jesus saying "love your neighbor as yourself" and "love your enemies and pray for them" Do you think that billions of souls would have been saved around the world over the last 2 thousand years if Jesus had come to earth outfitted like Rambo and shot up all the roman soldiers who crucified  HIM? Was it not God who saved the Jews and led them out of Egypt into the promised land? Or was it an armed jewish uprising that blew up all pharoah's temples and murdered all his soldiers like you apparently must think? You people are not christians, YOU ARE THE ANTICHRIST. You will be held responsible before God for your actions if indeed these stories we hear are true.

One Angry Fool

by Thyssen Moskal

The United States citizenry has just been robbed blind, and the robbery continues, but the
sheeple don't care. They keep stuffing their paper into the casino called the stock market. Go ahead, sheep, keep being complicite in bidding up prices for the next big "pump and dump" scenario which will contribute to you all being robbed of the rest of your savings. My God, you people, you are the simplest of simpletons. I grow very weary of you. What is the difference between a sheet of notebook paper and a 50 dollar bill? The ink. The ink you fools. Otherwise, absolutely nothing. It's all paper. One big , giant mountain of paper with different letters and colors of ink. This is what our whole financial system is based on!! What the ???????????. Am I the only one who truly grasps the insane foolishness of all this??

I would also like to make a statement about the local television news. You people are
funny. It is like watching the Wizard of Oz over and over again. Comforting soundtrack. Smiling faces. Evil witches. Good witches. All the down home folks who want to see the wizard, and get everything their heart desires. You people are so fake. What I see on the local news are salesman trying to drum up business for everyone in the area. Salesman putting lipstick on a pig. Salesman trying to keep the present status quo going a bit more so they can keep delivering the local news, keep smiling, keep getting paid, and keep living in their large suburban homes. They are far from the calamities of the average person's life. Each story is a career move in order to get more cash to keep paying for the big mansion. Cover up the truth at all costs!! Yeah, keep quoting official "government" reports and selected studies to portray the matrix you live in. Keep pumping up the headlines but leaving out all that "undesirable" data. One more question, "How the ^%&%&^ is any of this news????"

My golly, I guess I'm just not being "positive" enough. Oh, and by the way, thank you, uncle sam, for my wonderful christmas vacation. That's positive for you enough is it not? Uncle Sam IS GDP in totality these days and he handed out enough cash that I could have a holiday, so yeah that's just great. No, really. I did enjoy it!! So did the other 40 million people in this country on food stamps. Yippy skippy. (I'm not on food stamps, I recieve indirect government assistance by other means...hint...BOMBS OVER BAGHDAD!!! HA!!! HA!!!. AHHH but those days are numbered too as the government is cutting assistance by 80% to all research and development in the defense arena in my area, at least in my little world. (They are saving the money for more bailouts of Goldman and JP I imagine.) Why would they need to save money? When they could just print it? Well they have got to try and make things look legit don't they?

My ears are hurting. I can hear the simpletons scream, "We are tired of your bad news. Though in our hearts we know it's true, we want to keep shopping and buying toys and stuffing our fat faces!" Well, to that I say, don't fear, your dreams may come true for a short time. You have managed to ignore all the warning signs of a failing republic and have bought into all the happy smiling salesman/newsman's propaganda of good times ahead. You have power to ignore the 100 trillion dollar liabilities of the u.s. government, and not to mention, all the governments around the world teetering on default. Turn a blind eye to the growing number of  people pushing shopping carts down the street with their only belongings,  shivering in the cold.  Go ahead and brush all that off. Enjoy Uncle Sam's last hurrah. The Scales of Justice always balance, in God's good time.

Pay, Pay, Pay

by Thyssen Moskal

Why do I have to keep on paying????? The trend is unstoppable it seems. Free tv in America, for the last 60 years or more, shall no longer be soon. ( See..Free TV Gone and No More Free TV ). This is just the latest push to commoditize everything on earth, and for the money masters to squeeze as much blood from a turnip as ever has been attempted in history. Hell, if Al Gore has his way, you'll soon be paying for the right to breathe, stay warm, and be taxed just for existing. This is all very funny to me, because , as a child my maternal grandfather told me something I thought strange at the time. He said, "Pretty soon you'll have to put a quarter in your bathroom toilet to take a whiz". (That quote , among his other hilarious diatribes of "up your ass, you son of a bitch!!" directed toward Ronald Reagan while screaming at the television, are entirely free to you, dear reader.) Ahh..God rest his soul. (Not Ronald Reagan's soul, but my grandfather's.)  Heh, Heh..don't laugh, as the future is upon us. (See.. Pay Urinals). HAPPY NEW YEAR!!, and may the "recovery" be as fruitful to you as it has been to the miniscule help wanted ads in my local newspaper!!!

Overused Verbs

by Thyssen Moskal

Stocks rise. Stocks rally. Stocks surge. Stocks soar. Stocks slump. Stocks fizzle. Stocks pummelled. Stocks collapse. Geez, I am getting tired of reading this regurgitated nonsense. You'd think these financial "reporters" would go grab a thesaurus and find some new verbs to use. I mean, they do have million dollar educations do they not?  Do you notice this? Some other oft repeated headlines: Stocks soar on housing. Stocks slump on housing. Stocks slump on jobs report. Stocks surge on jobs report. Stocks surge on housing. Are you getting bored already? I am. I yawn as I write. Often you'll see these headlines a day or two apart. How can this be? How can stocks alternatively surge on housing, and then the next day slump on housing? The answer is it can't. These financial "reporters" just need to earn their pay by coming up with some reason why stocks went this way or that, and using the same old headlines every day is the minimal effort it takes to get the check signed. Wouldn't it be a breath of fresh air  to read a headline like, STOCKS DESTROYED TODAY AS GOLDMAN SACHS EXECUTIVES ARE DRAGGED AWAY BY ANGRY CITIZENS LOOKING FOR THEIR STOLEN MONEY. Wouldn't that be just new and interesting?

Alas, I digress.

The stock market is nothing more than a huge casino run by bankers and the connected elite, and the house always wins. When will people learn? One doesn't invest in stocks. One bets on stocks. Sometimes you win, and sometimes You lose. By and by, there is no reason on any given day why stocks go this way or that way, it is the result of a series of random events and random bets, added with market manipulations on the part of the governments and the Goldman crew, that cause stocks to rise or fall. They have nothing to do with the real economy. If you are a good player, you can win big. Question: Does one enter a casino on a Friday night to do some "investing"? No. One rolls the dice and takes one's chances. That is essentially what you are doing in stocks. Just look at Lehman Brothers. The dead wall street investment firm that died last fall. Today, their stock has tripled in price!! I hear you say, "HUH??". It's true. Nutball "investors" bid up the price of everything, even worthless crap, because it is fun to gamble!!, until they cannot find anyone else to pass these hot potatoes off to...then crash!! A sucker is left holding the bag. If that sucker happens to be someone like Goldman Sachs, why you'll become the new sucker holding the bag, because they will be bailed out by..."YOU". Uncle Sam will decide to play a sick game of trading places, replacing the loser (Goldman) with you (taxpayer). See!! Casinos are full of fun to be had by all!!.  Anyway, instead of dealing with stocks and placing bets on wall street and finding sucker investors to rob and run off with their loot, I have a real job making actual physical things, so I am very tired now. Happy "investing"!

Humanity Dissipates

by Thyssen Moskal

"To avoid any misunderstanding, I am not saying that the people and their obsession with pocketbook issues is a good thing in order to throw the proverbial monkey wrench into Satan's plans to rule on earth. The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, the Bible tells us, and Americans are obsessed, probably more than any civilization that has ever existed, with money and the deadly materialism with which it infects this generation. Point is, economy--monetary intrigues--will power the engine of humanistic drive from this point forward, as never before"-Terry at Raptureready.com

He is absolutely right. I have taken notice of this phenomena coming to its fruition as never before in my short life during this "great recession." All human compassion has left the capitalist system as employers' sole focus has become the "bottom line", and their desire to treat human beings as souless machines to be exploited for profit has reached it's zenith. In my own experience, and from the testimony of many others I can confirm this to be true. Money has become god to these people, and most of their employees are no different. All that matters is money. Humans are no longer individuals with different talents, aspects, and abilities. Everyone is to conform to a computerized standard of how much profit should be generated from each "individual". That is a misnomer, because we are not individuals. We are a collective of homegenized numbers who all work at exactly the same pace, have the exact same thought process, get things done in the exact same amount of time, and are expected to produce an exact amount of profit, because the computer says it should be that way. The machine views us as machines. The lifeless empty shells of our former dynamic selves. The Virus  has infected the creators of this "productive" age.  We don't have bad days or personal problems or other ambitions in life. We exist to generate profit. Most of which is destined to be siphoned away by the government to give to another more favored class of machines. Faster and faster we go until we fade away. No time to chat or act human, just profit generation. Never mind that one fellow may have been gifted with an ability to process information faster. That doesn't make him smarter. It only makes his profit generating potential greater. Therefore, everyone is expected to perform to that standard. The computer program says so. If you can't do it, you are a worthless little machine. Time to head for the scrap heap. Nevermind that you've given us thirty years of service. You are too old and slow, so screw you if you can't keep up, "we'll get someone who will". With the myriads of debtors in circulation who love their material things, "someone who will" is a phone call away. The local governments have gotten in on the act. Nevermind that we are already distressed in these times. Government has got to raise money, to pay their fat salaries, so they can keep munching on splendid danties. So screw us little folk. They like to send out letters to us telling us we may owe some more dough, (WHEN WE DO NOT AND NEVER DID OWE THESE CRETINS A THING ANYWAY)  just maybe, and they would like to audit our finances. Lovely. Wonderful little creatures in our local governments. Hmmmm....I won't name names this time..but HOLY TOLEDO!! Something is wrong with the world.

Kava Kava Tea

by Thyssen Moskal

Surely, with job prospects souring and markets tanking there is one thing that is going up and up. That happens to be my anxiety level. I am sure many more Americans' anxiety levels are getting a tad inflated these days. For myself, drinking copious amounts of kava kava tea and St. Johns wort tea(from your local health food store) have been a bit of a panacea and a blessing from above. Sometimes, for one's own health and well-being, one just has to take a break from the crumbling world around us. Turn off the news and the computer and the television and enjoy the people around you. Talk with them. Meditate and pray. Pet your dog, he may not be around in a few years.

I, for one, am enjoying not working 60 hours and 6 days a week(the twin relics of barbarism). I have energy to go for bike rides and walks, instead of going home and passing out in front of the TV after work when the economy was "good". It's too bad that in America it's 60 hours and 6 days a week or the unemployment line. At least in manufacturing. (As a sidenote, think of all the people who are not working, and could be, if most of the employed were not doing two or three persons' jobs. Ah, but that doesn't help the "bottom line".)

I surmise that the mainstream, and even alternative media is aware of the fact of America's rising anxiety and depression levels. I am talking mental depression, and not the actual economic depression we are suffering through. Thus, we see these silly programs on radio and television such as 1370 am radio's "good news Wednesdays" or maybe you've seen on television the promises of at least "one good news story" today. Coincidentally, Dock Treece could not find any good news to talk about this past "good news Wednesday" on 1370 and sounded off about tanking markets and America's stupid bankrupting stimulus package. The radio announcer asked him if he could come back with some good news on Thursday. He didn't. At least I wasn't cheered.

I have been listening to straw being spinned into gold for too long now. Gm is exiting bankruptcy and will be a "new and stronger company." Uh-huh. One that is 60% owned by the U.S. taxpayer, and the rest owned by the Canadian government, and the U.A.W. The U.A.W. which is being collossally ripped off by exchanging all the promises of health care benefits and retirement for worthless "new gm" stock. Not to mention the complete wipeout of stockholders. The judge handling the bankruptcy declared that GM is "hopelessly insolvent". Bet you didn't catch that little ditty on Fox News. California is bankrupt and issuing i.o.u.'s, and discussing paying state workers in i.o.u.'s. Goody gumdrops. If these workers accept i.o.u.'s and keep on working, America really has rolled over to play dead, or more fitting, has rolled over and died. Did you hear that they want to make these i.o.u.'s tradeable investments? Geez. Talk about desperation. Lets see, what else? Oh yeah! That 6.9 million continuing unemployment claims? Not even close. You see, they haven't been counting those on extended unemployment benefits, which adds another 2 million or so. I have been studying the charts about the rate of those whose unemployment benefits are running out before finding work also. That 10% unemployment rate? A bad joke. It's more likely over 20% right now. Look at all those videos of workers begging for jobs on T.V., saying things like: " I promise to be a good little slave and lick your boots, and I promise not to complain about anything, or join a union, and I'll work for $6.00 an hour! Oh please! please! Most excellent master of mine! Please hire me!" This is so sad and pathetic. Is that what we've been reduced to? Begging for jobs on T.V.? If you really want things to change, don't expect your tea parties to accomplish much. HIT THEM IN THE WALLET!!! That is the only thing the elites care about is their wallets. You can complain, and you can beg, and you can march. THEY DO NOT CARE. THEY ARE SOULESS ROBOTS WHO MILL ABOUT, CONSTANTLY REPEATING THEIR MANTRA-"BOTTOM LINE!!-BOTTOM LINE!!-BOTTOM LINE!!!" Go ahead, ask them what they want for breakfast: BOTTOM LINE!! Ask them (like George Thorogood) Who do you love?: BOTTOM LINE!!.

So, silly cattle, quit filling up K-Mart's parking lot on Sundays and go for a walk. Yeah, I notice all those fresh new "I got cash for my clunker!" autos filling up the lot. Keep stroking and polishing your chains people. Don't complain about bailouts if you are going to facilitate and legitimize the process. Instead, take all your money out of the banks and leave just enough to conveniently pay your most essential bills if you want. But carry cash only. Rip up your credit cards and stop making payments. Leave your 401ks intact, but stop contributing. (If you cash them in, the government gets a huge windfall through penalties and taxes.) Unless of course, you are prepared to skip the taxes!! Or, lose some money and wait for the markets to tank some more so the tax bill isn't as big. Also, you can cash it all in and claim hardship to skip the tax bill if you wait until you are destitute. But be wary, as some instititions, being bankrupt, are not honoring redemptions. That means you get nothing!! Ho! Ho!  Use your imagination!! It's FUN!! Do whatever it takes to cause them to lose money, than watch them cry and scream and beat their chests like babies because you just hit the elites in the only spot that hurts them, THEIR WALLETS!!. Ahem. Now where is my kava kava tea?

Ministry Mechanisms

by Thyssen Moskal

The Ministry of Truth is in hyperactive mode. The Ministry says oil prices are going up because an economic recovery is anticipated. The truth is, it is going up because the dollar is declining rapidly. Again. The Ministry of Truth says the stock market is going up on bullish consumer spending. The truth is the stock market is going up because even though investors are starting to worry about the government's ability to pay it's enormous debts, the Federal Reserve reassures them that borrowing costs will remain low because the Fed will continue to purchase (monetize) our own debt. Yay. The Fed is printing cash to buy our own treasuries and Wall Street rejoices. These are the people you trust with your retirement? The cattle are out blowing cash because the government has pumped $13 trillion in stimulus into the economy. There is free money raining from the sky!! Besides what else do they have to do when they are all laid off? "MOOOO!", say the cattle. "I don't have a job but I want a new tv!" These cattle can't keep a dollar in their pockets without launching it at the nearest imported trinket. Case in point: I read a story today that says manufacturing is recovering because Japan is on a tear. However, if I search for "machinist" or "tool & die maker" jobs on monster.com, I get about 229 jobs posted in the last 30 days nationwide for machinist. There are like 14 for the entire state of Ohio, 8 for Michigan. These states are the heart of manufacturing for the U.S.A., traditionally. This is truly pathetic. It also turns up a whole 54 jobs nationwide posted in the last 30 days for tool & die maker. With numbers like that it is safe to say there is not much manufacturing going in in the U.S. right now. Unless, of course, those industries have defense contracts. Again, only those being showered with government cash have work. Americans are out blowing stimulus cash, unemployment checks, and welfare checks on big screen tvs. At least that is what this story suggests:( http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_34911.aspx) They call that a recovery in manufacturing? Because Americans are out buying foreign imports when they don't have jobs? The sheeple are hopeless. I don't know why I bother. My eyes are now wide open. The tech bubble died. Then the housing bubble died. Then the credit bubble died. The new and final bubble is the free money/printing press bubble, and it is at the expense of our foreign creditors and the future generations of America. Why do you think China is buying up all the commodities and conspiring with other nations to ditch the dollar and create/use their own currencies? They know we are insane and drunk on "free" money and have no intention of paying it back. When this bubble blows, there is nothing left and no safety nets to speak of. (unless, of course, you are a christian and praying for a pre-trib Rapture to occur.) Do expect fabulous second quarter GDP numbers though, as the Ministry is adding all the stimulus spending into the results. (http://www.financialsense.com/fsu/editorials/willie/2009/0528.html) Buy canned food, dry goods, and protection from the rising criminal element. Of course, smart folks are doing this already, and then the Ministry uses these numbers to add to the "bullish consumer spending" scenario. Oh well. Pray hard. God Bless.

Many More Bottles

by Thyssen Moskal

99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer. If one of those bottles should happen to fall, that's 2 more dollars in taxes for y'all!

That is the shape of things to come. The Senate Finance Committee is proposing a uniform excise tax of $16 per proof gallon of beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages. So, let's figure this out, shall we? There are 128 fl. oz. in 1 gallon. There are 16 fl. oz. in one pint. Therefore, there are 8 pints in 1 gallon. The per pint tax would then be $2. Do you see where I am going with this? I should not have to spell things out this way, but I am writing in deference to that sizable portion of our society which has no math skills whatsoever. Blame it on our dumbed down system of education. Anyway, this all means when Joe Blow goes down to the local carry-out to pick up those 6 pints of beer, it is now going to cost him an  extra $12. That "cheap" swill he has gotten used to for about $6 will now cost him $18??!! I can't believe it myself! This on top of the new $25 per lb. tax on tobacco!! Do you think the government is doing this because they love you so much and want to see you stop drinking and smoking? Please... They are hoping and counting on you to continue to do so. This is a huge money grab plain and simple, and all to pay for the bailouts and spending proposals, in my opinion.

I do not buy the story they are doing this to fund universal healthcare. Why? Because they also propose taxing private health care plans as income!! Why would I even want a private health care plan if it is going to be taxed??!! I do agree that something must be done about the current healthcare system where doctors live in mansions, and it costs $5000 -$10000 a night for a hospital bed. Not to mention health insurance companies are traded on the stockmarket and grow fat on people getting sick, and I am referred to as a "customer" at the hospital. HOWEVER, the scheme that is being proposed where we wait in long lines for socialized medicine, get cost reduced crappy services, and the feds (read "too big to fail institutions") get to pocket all the tax money is no solution. It is just stealing a "business" (why is healthcare a "business"? Should it not ideally be a humanitarian effort?) from one crook and giving it to another to be run in an even more crooked way.  Additionally, they will also be cutting medicare and medicaid payments at the same time. QUESTION: Why do Mexicans, who have national healthcare in their own country, run across the border to help themselves to our healthcare system?

Did you hear they will also be taxing soda pop, because it's "bad" for you? Will all products with sugar soon have a big fat tax on them too because they are "bad" for you? How about fattening food? Is that next on the list for a tax hike? I liken all this to The Prohibition in that what all these new taxes will cause is a huge black market in all these "bad for you" products. This black market will be run by underground dealers, profiteers, gangsters, and other unsavory types. Of course, we will have to create another bureaucracy to deal with all this "criminal" behavior. Imagine for a second... The Bureau of Unhealthy Lard and Sugar Harbored or Illegally Transported. BULSHIT will be the acronym. It will cost a trillion bucks to start, and the House and the Senate will overwhelmingly vote to create it because they never pass up an opportunity to spend money they don't have. Instead of a War on Drugs we will have a War on Sugar, and people will get 3-5 in the slammer for possession of illegal beverages.

Yeah!!! We will lower unemployment by locking up a huge chunk of society for breaking various ridiculous laws, like purchasing contraband sugary stuff on the street, and we will will employ the rest in government initiatives to arrest and imprison these odious people. Of course, we will need more prisons, so we can employ some more people in building and guarding these edifices. Wait, haven't we been doing that already? According to Wikipedia:

The United States of America has the highest incarceration rate in the world. It is home to a little less than 5% of the world’s population, but holds 25% of the world’s prisoners.[4] According to a U.S. Justice Department Report, as of this year, over 7.2 million people are in prison, on probation, or on parole. That means 1 in every 32 Americans are in the system.[5][6] According to the International Centre of Prison Studies at King’s College London, out of that 7.2 million 2.3 million are behind bars. China is in a far second place with 1.6 million, although China’s population is over 4 times that of the United States.

Not only does the United States have the highest number of inmates, it is number one in highest incarceration rates as well. The United States has about 751 people in prison for every 100,000 in population.[2] In comparison to other industrialized nations, Russia comes in 2nd with 627 prisoners for every 100,000 in population. For comparison, with other industrialized countries, Germany has 88, England's rate is 151, and Japan has a rate of 63. The median of the world is 125. This is about 1/6th of the United States rate.

Wow! what a fascinating way to keep those unemployment numbers down. You do know that people will continue to drink and smoke even if they put a $100 tax per gallon of beer or lb. of tabacco!! They'll just stop spending money elsewhere. Or, they will resort to theft and the black markets where there are no taxes. This of course will lead the powers that be to engineer a more tightly controlled financial system. Cashless. With a full accounting to the authorities of where every penny you spend goes. Why, they'll just deduct the taxes from your account!! Meanwhile, all the stupid beasts among us will cry out, "If you're not doing anything wrong, you don't have anything to worry about!!" Seriously, I know dogs that are smarter than that. However, like dogs, the people will roll over and play dead as long as they still have jobs or the check is still in the mail on the 1st. What will you do about it? The bank and the government shall be joined at the hip, and the awesome power of the state shall be brought to bear against any dissenters.

Do you good ol' boy rednecks brandishing your puny guns think you stand a chance against the technological marvels of destruction yet to be revealed to you? This causes me to remember the brave Polish Cavalry in the German invasion of Poland in 1939. Horses and sabres against merciless German Panzer tank divisions. The Poles had no idea and had not even dreamed of such terrifying instruments. As you should be aware, the Poles lost. That battle was just a foreshadowing of the fate that awaits you aforementioned rednecks and your pathetic weapons against ....CLASSIFIED.... if you keep on foaming at the mouth. Use your brains for once, unlike back in 2000 and 2004 when you all had Bush-Cheney bumper stickers. Do not be angry with me because I play the part of the Devil's Advocate. He is a crafty old serpent, and his plans for you are no less potent today than they were in the Garden. Just as the Good Lord knew you from the womb, the serpent has planned your demise ages before you were born. Do you think you can match wits with him? Fool. He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword. If this is still a christian nation, it had better be stout hearted and wait for the Lord.....

Rev 13:16  And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

The above prophecy could not have taken place 50 years ago, let alone 2000 years ago, but today it will come to pass!! All the technology is in place. The catalysts are in place. All because of some soda pop taxes!! Well, maybe not just because of soda pop taxes, but understand my point. Reader, you and I have a lot to think about. This may take many more years to pan out, as there is so much going on right now in the world it is enough to make one dizzy. Sometimes I wonder to myself, about where we are at in the grand scheme of things. Am I wasting my time complaining about taxes? As a christian, and a man of peace, should I not be more concerned with the salvation of my fellow man? Indeed I am. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" Therefore, I reason, to be part of the truth, is to be a part of the plan of God. To speak the truth is to speak the gospel. I tell the truth as I understand it. To speak and understand the truth is to also expose lies and wrongdoing. I am by no means all knowing, therefore some of the assessments and opinions in my articles may very well be wrong-headed or incorrect. I wish to avoid shouting "fire!" in a crowded theatre because above all what is needed today are for the cooler heads to prevail. That's why we like to encourage critical thought here. Do your own research and ask questions!!

More Shenanigans..

by Thyssen Moskal

Keep an eye on that mutual fund, and by extension, those 401ks. I read today the banks are paying their own in-house investment advisors to figure out a way to raise capital.(Strangely, making the banks own balance sheet look stronger, as they move money from one pocket to another) So the in-house guys than sell more common stock to the public and they admit they will be selling this common stock to mutual funds that they themselves manage. Who are the owners who will be recieving all this common stock? You and me, the owners of all these mutual funds!! So, just to be clear on this, the banks borrow a ton of money from the government (taxpayer). They want to pay it back so they sell common stock to the public (taxpayer). So I guess the plan is for the taxpayer to pay back the money borrowed from the taxpayer??!! Huh??!! Read a little more about it by clicking ALL BUSINESS; Banks profit from capital raising.

Undesirable Attributes

by Thyssen Moskal

It is a strange characteristic of the human race in that its members tend to see and hear only what they want to. The fortunate ones, who are still making ends meet right now, want to believe so badly that everything is just splendid with the world these days. These people I notice tend to have some defining attributes.

1.) They never watch or read any form of news that is not featured on a major network. Most of them seem to spend their time watching brain devouring programs on T.V. such as American Idol or TMZ. They have very little clues as to what is happening in the globe, but they sure are up to date on the contents of their favorite sitcom or reality show.

2.) They "love" their job. The worse things get, the more they bury their heads in it. Maybe for a fear of getting canned or laid-off, but from what I've seen, it doesn't seem that way. They are looking for a distraction, so as not to face up to reality. For many of us, this is no longer a problem. This includes me at the present.

3.) They believe every word that comes out of the mouth of government officials. This really is a biggie. People will argue with me all the time by quoting "official" government statistics. Even in the face of damning evidence to the contrary which surrounds them. I love what Gerald Celente always says about this issue. To paraphrase: I didn't inhale, No I didn't have sex with that woman Monica Lewinsky, Read my lips no new taxes, and we have proof there are wmd's in Iraq. (You know, I'm not really sure how to paraphrase someone in an article. We didn't learn that in school. We had sex-ed instead. Now I hear they've replaced sex-ed with gay and lesbian awareness day.) Anyway, I could add a few more dubious things I've heard from government: The sub-prime crisis is contained, bankruptcy is off the table, the economic fundamentals are good, there is no recession, the banks are solvent, citigroup made a profit in the first quarter (thanks to nifty accounting gimmicks), unemployment is only 9% (not according to U6 numbers, it's closer to 16%!!), consumer spending is up!!(inflation adjustments, stimulus spending, oil and energy adjustments, and hell now the government is buying gm cars, not to mention gm!! not to mention "cash for clunkers"!! gimme a break!!) To boot, they said the economy would pick up in the first quarter, than the second quarter, than it was the third quarter, than it was the 4th quarter, and than it was next year. They just keep stringing us along like a cheap date, while things wax worse and worse. They change positions so much, it's getting hard to keep track of! Lies!! Damn Lies!!, and Government Statistics!!

4.)They are devoted to the republican or democratic parties with religious fervor. A special place of worship for these parties' devotees ought to be built. To a democrat, democrats are always right. Likewise the same for republicans. What exactly has changed for the average american whenever either one of these parties are in power? They are both exactly the same. There will still be wars. There will still be taxes. They just have different special interest groups who tend to get what they want. Republicans cater to the military-industrial-financial complex. Democrats cater to the media-big labor-financial complex. They both tend to love those with money. It's just that those with money love one party or the other. You working class folks who loved Bill Clinton, don't you know his administration is the one that pushed for fannie mae and freddie mac to make loans to poor people who would never be able to pay back, for political purposes? You patriots who thought GWB was protecting America by invading Iraq, are you aware it had a lot more to do with propping up the dollar because Saddam was going to sell oil in euros?  Threatening the dollar's reserve currency status? Again, both parties love to create huge unsustainable deficits. All this party affiliation situation does is polarize and blind us to the true goals of the state. Each party passes the baton to the other party in planned fashion after each crisis, with one party blaming the other party for the crisis. I don't trust any of these people. In my opinion there are good and bad people in government on both sides of the aisle. Ron Paul is a shining example of the good on the republican side. Likewise, Dennis Kucinich for the democrats. I am not saying I agree with either of these men on every issue. By and large, their hearts are in the right place.

Toledo, Oh Commercial Real Estate Available!!

by Thyssen Moskal with photographs by Denise Bowlin

It occurred to us today while driving around within a few miles of my own residence, that there are a lot of empty buildings popping up like dandelions in major commercial/retail areas in Toledo. Keep in mind this was just in a few square miles. I know of many, many more. Here we have some photos of a few former grocery stores, former restaurants, and half empty strip malls. But what about those "green shoots" of recovery we keep hearing about? The only "green shoots" you'll find in this gallery is of the weeds popping up through the deteriorating asphalt. You are aware this is the next big shoe to drop right? Sometimes I wonder if I ever moved from Flint, Mi and this is all a very scary dream. I realize many Toledo politicos and residents may be offended. If I offend you with the truth, so be it!! This is reality in your face!! This is Great Depression II so wake up and take off those rose tinted glasses!! I am tired of hearing fabricated happy news in the media when there is none in the average citizens' reality!! Instead of taking these photos and writing this story, I could have been working today, but I am not because I am laid off and there are no manufacturing jobs to be had in this town at this time!!! So bugger off with your complaints of not being positive!!! I am a strict realist!! Anyway, we took most of these photos from a moving vehicle on a rainy day, so they may not be the greatest quality. The burdon of commercial real estate, for your viewing pleasure....

Time and Again

by Thyssen Moskal

Time is the most valuable of all commodities. We humans have been gifted with a fixed amount, and no more can be earned or manufactured. Yet, we are constantly informed by "our betters" what we should be doing with our time. Make no mistake, all the time that has been given to each individual in life is that individual's time, and no one else by rights should have a claim on what it is used for. So why, tell me, does our society force a person to use a very significant amount of his/her time for the use of earning money/increasing consumption? If we do not do this, we essentially become homeless and starve. Everyone must work to live; "by the sweat of your brow will you eat bread", as the good book says. In so many words, unpleasant labor is a curse on the human race, instead of the joy of tending those plants in the garden of eden it was intended to be.

In simpler times the labor a man performed, was done at his own pace, and for his own family's, and perhaps for his own community's benefit. It was largely based on agriculture. There were no big factories or corporations in the times I speak of. Mankind's labor was independent from a so called "job market" which is being used to beat us into submission, and keep us dependent on the powers that be. This self-sufficient farmer of pre-capitalist times may have taken as many breaks as he chose, as he was his own boss, and if you do some research you'll find he had a great deal many more days off. (Unless, of course, one was an indentured servant or slave, but that is for another day.) We cannot all be independent business owners in the modern capitalist system for the simple fact we all do not have adequate capital, and will never earn enough from our "jobs". The system as is ensures those who are already wealthy and astride across the globe will not have any competition. There are already too many stores selling too many "trinkets", a dazzling spectacle of gadgets, widgets, toys, and other consumer goods, that nobody really needs and already has enough of. We are no longer human beings, we are "consumers". A group of cattle who exist only to purchase tons of stuff and make earnings reports look stellar. Not everyone can have an original idea like "the pet rock", and there are more pizza joints in my town than there are blades of grass. If anyone has a great idea for a business that requires no debt, no paperwork, and affords one health insurance, retirement, and a modest income, and still leaves one enough time in the week for family and friends, I am all ears. I mean a business that offers complete independence, complete autonomy, and is LEGAL.

In modern times, you must be prepared for onerous taxes, regulations, and boatloads of paperwork to start your own business as well as the aformentioned access to capital which in modern times seems to come in the form of huge debts owed to bankers or other people of dubious character. I WILL NOT be a slave to bankers. I would rather starve and die free. If there were no confiscation by inflation, one might be able to save enough to start. However, wages are too low as is, and just having enough to eat is hard to come by. Shall one toil 80 hours a week in a factory to earn enough? In modern times some do this just to be able to feed their families, and, as I stress, we humans have limited time and energy, as we must spend so much of our time and energy preparing paperwork for various government agencies, private agencies, and generally being completely stressed out at the plethora of burdons thrown at us by our own "jobs" where we can never be fast enough to be "productive" and generate revenue for our employers who also are under stress by a system where the lowest price rules. They do what they have to in order to survive. Madness!!! Our present system migrates to the lowest common denominator, whereby those who punish their fellow man the most comes out with the most currency!!  We are locked in a system whereby we must be chained to our work for a specified amount of time, which is largely dictated to us. It is also under someone else's rules. Certainly I will admit the laboring classes of today are far better off than their predecessors of the 19th century in America who toiled 18 hours a day 7 days a week for pennies a day. It took massive uprisings, protests, and sadly a good deal of violence by those laboring classes to put an end to that misery. So, for all you labor union bashers out there, you had better read up on your history!!  We still, however, must all be paid in the legal tender paper currency under the regime in which we live. This currency is the only acceptable form of payment according to the dictates of law. Would it not be better, if currency was whatever the next guy would take as payment for that which one is trying to acquire? Perhaps if there was no currency at all? But then..AH HA!..there could be no centralized control of the system.

Gold was a universal medium of exchange, because it was rare, pretty, could not be created at will, or otherwise manufactured. You could dig it up in the yard, and, voila! you had something of intrinsic value which could be exchanged for goods or services. All outside a given government's necessity for existance or regulation of the system thereof. Back in olden times here in the U.S.A., you could take a pile of gold to the U.S. Mint and they would pound it into coins for you. Good stuff. A man's money was his own, and he could operate in an economic system primarily for the benefit of the people. I'm not saying there still were not cheaters, greed, and avarice, but there was no centralized control. That is really the important point. NO ONE HAD ULTMATE CONTROL OVER THE SUPPLY OF MONEY, OR DICTATED EXACTLY WHAT IT WOULD BE. Furthermore, vast sums could not be printed at will and the ramifications then laid on the backs of the population. Today we have no choice. They only take U.S. dollars at the grocery store. It's value is determined by the promises of the respective governments, and how many bad debts they are allowed to accumulate. You must pay taxes in legal tender paper, thus galvanizing said government's (or banker's) total control of the monetary system. If we could just free the financial systems from legal tender laws, imagine for a moment what the average person could do with his life. There would be no more time wasted on useless consumption in a debt based, centralized, job based, tax based system. So what if I don't have a pile of dollars in the bank? I do have a garage full of tools I never use and would like to exchange them for all those potatoes you are growing. There are infinite possibilities in a barter based/gold based/silver based system. Anything percieved to be of value at the given moment will do. One man's junk is another man's treasure, as they say. We would also have to learn to be self-sufficient again.

I realize this is a vast oversimplification of the situation at hand. I also realize I am not taking into account the problem of evil and the inherent desire in the twisted heart of man to take more than he needs and steal from his fellows. Tyranny has a way of finding some way of taking something that belongs to someone else as payment for some percieved "service". Just study the fuedal system of former times, where they would take all your cattle, or perhaps a son or two to be pressed into military service in payment for use of "their" lands. How did it get to be "their" land? Well the king granted it to them. Where did the king get such power? Well according to the king, he is ruler by divine right. Well, how...you get the picture. This all because the powers that be, who held all the gold, could raise armies to attack other nations so they could get more gold. So who am I kidding? What exactly has changed? Will humans ever be able to free themselves from this faceless power that has control of our lives? And chooses to do so through the economic system? They are hiding in the hallowed halls of our government, working hand in hand with the bankers who own us. It was the dream of the founders of this nation, to throw off these shackles and start anew. Look where we are today. My God will this nation ever truly be free? Or will it remain free for the few?  I am ranting in anger throughout this article and it is heavily abbreviated as there is so much more to relay than my mind can logically piece together in a few paragraphs. Hey, time is limited. Some were born with a silver spoon in their mouth or into favorable circumstances, all the while claiming it was their own efforts that got them where they are. Silly. Where were you born? When were you born? To whom were you born to? What inherent talents were you born with? What type of personality are you? Were you born into a rich family or poor family? On the farm or in the city? What country? What nation? What race? Are you "attractive"?  I am sure you get the picture and could add your own variables.  Everyone is a given a part to play on the stage of life. The variables are infinite. That is all for now.

Bank Stress Tests..

Folks I like to write from the heart and hate to reproduce information that is plastered all over the web. Also, I like to give credit where credit is due. People have been asking "What is a bank stress test?"
"Why are they relevant?" Or in my opinion irrelevant. Anyway here is a few good links if you really want to know!!

Generational Marketing

by Thyssen Moskal

I always thought the song "Tuesday Afternoon" by the Moody Blues (released 1968) was an esoteric song about the more intangible inner aspects of the soul, those quiet times we can relax and ponder the bigger picture. Its a beautiful song really. It just makes the stress melt straight away, and those lyrics...

"The trees are drawing me near, I've got to find out why?
Those gentle voices I hear, explain it all with a sigh."

Well, forget all that nonsense!! Its about spending money!!!  Have you seen the new Visa debit card commercial? Sacrilege I say!!

How ironic. The peace and love hippie generation that rejected the establishment with their music is now being wooed by the establishment with their music.  This is just another sad example of a marketing technique that taps into the emotions, memories, and even the inner spirit of a certain demographic and subtley manipulates them into associating those things with a product or service. In this case the product is money itself. How many times have you been drawn to buy something you never needed or believe something you know can't be true because of clever marketing? How did Washington market the bailout? They used the fear technique. If you dont "buy" this product, something terrible will happen to you. That's an old one. Some may remember the first adds for soap. If you didn't use the product, everyone would shun you and talk about you behind your back. It seems to me that is Washington's favorite technique in getting you to do what they want, but, by this point you know the game is much bigger than Washington. When pondering this whole swine flu scenario consider this quote from the movie "Storm of the Century"(1999, Stephen King) The little old lady Martha, when watching the weather on TV quips:

When they tell you the world's ending, they want to sell cereal. When they tell you not to panic, it's serious.

Modern Slavery

by Thyssen Moskal

"The borrower is the slave of the lender"

I don't know how often it is I hammer these words into peoples heads, but it is more often than I should. I hear people complaining about how much money they owe all the time. But never did it ever occur to them that they have shackled themselves with the chains of their own slavery, and they themselves hold the key to their financial freedom. Do not be fooled, all of us born into this world are slaves from birth. But seriously folks, there are those among us who choose to bind themselves much more tightly to the grindstone. Every time you charge that credit card, every time you take out a loan, anytime you choose to use funds that are not your own, you must work longer and harder just to pay the interest to the money masters who now own you, and will not release you until the last penny is returned. I know. I was once among the burdened. It will take time, but if you are in debt, and want to be free of it, dont listen to those "debt consolidation" programs. They only want to reduce your payments, in order to keep you in debt longer, so that you can keep that revenue stream coming in for the big guys. The real way out is this: STOP BUYING STUFF YOU DO NOT NEED!! FOR CHRIST'S SAKE MAN!!. Mankind has the right to enjoy the fruits of his/her own labor, but if you are using credit to get that second or third boat or the latest gadget, it is likely you have a material addiction. Ask yourself, will you absolutely die without that new wardrobe? Whats wrong with Salvation Army if you really need something to wear? It's cheap, and it will help out your fellow man. Do the children need that new video game system? Most kids these days I see need a swift kick in the rear, not a new game system. Put clothes on their backs and food in their mouth, and shoes on their feet, and I'm talking $10 at payless. It is adequate. Do you need a $50000 Gigantomobile every 3 years? Really? I've been perfectly happy with my 17 year old car which I bought used, 10 years ago. No debt, saved for it a couple years. Works like a gem(most of the time). I fix it myself. With all the savings you achieve, you then attack your debt with ferocity. It takes discipline, prayer and a lot of hard work and sacrifice. Now I know some folks have serious medical issues or the like that is beyond their control, or some unfortunate event that has put one in the hole. My heart goes out to them. In this article I am talking squarely about the common terminal consumerist who has done it to his/or herself. Everyone makes mistakes, but there is a way out. For some who owe too much, bankruptcy and liquidation may be the only option. For those who "own" a home they cannot afford, I could go on for hours. For starters, you cannot own a home in the United States. God, I love how the media and government refer to debtors as "homeowners". Quit your job and stop paying your property taxes(or mortgage) and you will see who really owns your home. The only way you can own your home is if you possess allodial title or "kings title".  For a while you could still get one in Texas or Nevada, although I believe Nevada has ended the practice. Regardless, in the end, eminent domain has the last say. It is much cheaper if you do the math, and less stressful, to rent. You walk away whenever you want to or need to. Besides, we humans are not long for this world anyway. Most likely by the time you pay it off, you'll be on the stairway to heaven. Interestingly enough, the word mortgage, from the french, means "death pledge". Are you stuck with one now? Well I'm sure you heard what folks are doing to "unpledge" themselves. Do some research yourself. Your options are many. I will not speak of "jingle mail" in this article. That is a moral question for the individual to struggle with. In conclusion, learn to be content with such things as you have, and you'll never go wrong. God Bless.

A very pertinent to this article (and funny) "financial advice" video, considering the source!

Voices from the past..

by Thyssen Moskal

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies . . . If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] . . . will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered . . . The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." -- Thomas Jefferson -- The Debate Over The Recharter Of The Bank Bill, (1809)

I would have to say that Thomas Jeffersons prediction is coming to pass. Home prices exploded upwards and upwards with various pundits, real estate agents, governments, and other economic polyannas claiming "housing always goes up, buy a house , build a house , flip a house and use it as a giant atm". Through the cheap and never-ending flow of credit to anybody that could fog a mirror in the years leading up to 2006, people did just that. As a result house prices inflated to enormous proportions. A huge bubble was being inflated and it had to pop sometime. Now, with a slew of foreclosures and housing prices collapsing, all bets are off. Remember Jefferson referenced above .."first by a process of inflation, and then by deflation.." The people are now being deprived of all property.

Mr. Jefferson knew what he was talking about because paper money systems without the restraining force of the gold standard that forces money creation to remain at some level of the actual physical reserves of gold in a banks vaults always ends up causing a boom, and then the inevitable bust. Thats the why our constitution states:

Art. I Sec. 8 Cl. 5
[Congress shall have Power ... ] To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, ...;

Art. I Sec. 10 Cl. 1
[No State shall ...] make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts.

Paper money systems lead up to some serious nation changing events. There is a a book freely available to read online called Fiat Money Inflation in France by Andrew Dickson White. Copyrighted around 1896 or so (http://www.gutenberg.org/files/6949/6949-0.txt
). It details the story of France and its forray into a paper money system. Here is an excerpt:

They had then learned how easy it is to issue it;
how difficult it is to check its overissue; how seductively it leads to
the absorption of the means of the workingmen and men of small fortunes;
how heavily it falls on all those living on fixed incomes, salaries or
wages; how securely it creates on the ruins of the prosperity of all
men of meagre means a class of debauched speculators, the most
injurious class that a nation can harbor,--more injurious, indeed, than
professional criminals whom the law recognizes and can throttle; how
it stimulates overproduction at first and leaves every industry flaccid
afterward; how it breaks down thrift and develops political and social
immorality.

Doesn't that sound a lot like whats going on today in our own nation? Speculators running amok, bidding up the price of everything on a borrowed dime? (Now the taxpayers dime, thanks to TARP an other such programs funneling trillions into banks). Have we not over the years broken down thrift, as people borrow endlessly to purchase anything and everything they do not need, causing a massive buildup in a materialistic outlook, with a resulting moral decay? Have we not seen our real wages stagnate and our savings being inflated away by the endless stream of government spending and bank loans to any and all? The class of "debauched speculators" of the modern era on Wall Street squeals with delight as millions of Americans funnel their monies into their 401k plans, helping to drive up the stock prices, which are completely disconnected from the actual value of most of these companies. When the crash eventually happens (as it seems to happen every few years or so, doesnt it?) Guess whos left holding the bag? Because you know by now who's going to get the bailout, and you know who's going to pay for that too.

Do you realize that you are up to your eyeballs in debt, even if you don't have a mortgage, or a car payment or a credit card and live on cash alone?  Thats right and right now I've heard estimates in many ranges, but the most realistic seems to be about $30000-$35000 for every man, woman and child in these United States. Thats because our friends in D.C. borrow copious amounts of money from a PRIVATE for profit mega bank called the Federal Reserve which, by the way is neither federal nor a reserve, and we the people pay the governments "credit card payments" through this banks collection agency known as the IRS. More on that later.
